Healthcare Hospitals

Columbus Community Hospital

Because your care is the focus of everyone here, the physicians and staff of the hospital have aligned themselves with our mission, vision and I CARE values.   Although we believe in the benefits of modern technology and medicine, we believe even more in the need for personal service.   We have one goal in mind:  to make Columbus Community Hospital the best place for you to receive care.

Columbus Community Hospital (CCH) is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital, located on 60 acres in the northwest part of Columbus, Nebraska. CCH is led by a local board of directors and the hospital has a staff that includes a president/CEO, four vice presidents, a medical staff of nearly 50 active members and more than 740 employees. The hospital is also supported by more than 230 volunteers.

CCH is a 47-bed acute care facility that is certified for swing beds, with four skilled nursing beds and 14 ambulatory outpatient beds. CCH’s Healthpark Medical Office Building currently houses a visiting physicians’ clinic and the CCH laboratory, along with Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic, Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic and Columbus General Surgery.  CCH’s organization also includes a second campus, located south of Highway 30. The south campus includes medical outreach services such as Home Health and Hospice, Healthy Families and Occupational Health Services.

If you or your loved ones ever receive a cancer diagnosis, it’s important to know that Columbus Community Hospital is right here for patients and their families every step of the way. Our comprehensive team of cancer experts offers quality and compassionate cancer care that Columbus residents can count on when they need it most.

Our experienced medical oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, certified oncology nurses and trained staff members all take a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. That means they regularly share best practices and care protocols while they stay focused on treating the whole person.

This advanced approach allows our local cancer experts to practice within nationally recognized guidelines and provide the most outstanding cancer care. Using this approach, they are able to offer treatments and technologies that are typically found in larger communities. This allows patients to receive the quality and offerings of a big city while they enjoy the comforts of staying close to home. Plus, patients and families receive consistent care from providers they know and trust and that continuity of care is invaluable.
