Concentra Urgent Care
Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is a national health care company focused on improving America’s health, one patient at a time. Through its affiliated clinicians, the company provides occupational medicine, urgent care, physical therapy, and wellness services from more than 300 medical centers in 38 states. In addition to these locations, Concentra serves employers by providing a broad range of health services and operating more than 245 worksite medical facilities. Through this complement of services, Concentra intends to raise the standard of health by putting individuals first, treating them with clinical excellence, and focusing on their ongoing well-being.
Concentra Primary Care takes a comprehensive approach to health care that begins with a personal physician and a care coordinator who work together to care for a patient’s full health needs, and coordinates any additional care needed from other supporting providers. Concentra Primary Care also offers flexible scheduling, longer appointment times, and on-call access to your health advocate.
Bringing medical care to the workplace often means routine injury care for common cuts, scrapes, burns, and minor issues. In other instances, it may mean active stretching for an especially active workforce. But the whole health of an employee can have an impact on his or her ability to perform their job, and ultimately can impact an employer’s productivity. Given that understanding, many employers are seeking ways to introduce comprehensive health and wellness solutions to the workplace that not only protect employees’ current health, but can also help to improve their long-term well-being and reduce the future risks of a health crisis.
Concentra was founded by occupational medicine physicians, and we expanded our services to include urgent care to add to the health and well-being of our clients’ employees. While not every employer may deal with frequent workplace injuries, it’s likely that they will have employees who experience a cold or the flu. These illnesses can negatively impact productivity, and ultimately, your bottom line.
