Company backstory:
Founded by Dr Cary Stewart MD, Digital Physician began by providing unbiased reviews of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) products from 2001 to 2004. During this time he saw technology evolve and products and their companies change. In 2004, these evaluations took on a whole new meaning for Dr. Stewart. This time, the designer of Digital Physician was using his own product to find the right EMR for his primary care office (6 physicians and 15 staff). After many weary months of evaluating products, the final decision was to create our own EMR using existing software and tools. This custom EMR solution had the features we needed and was designed to complement our work flow. Over the next 5 years the staff used Digital Physician EHR on a daily basis. In 2009, Digital Physician LLC was created with the new goal of building version 2.0 of the system, a true multi-tenant scalable solution that would keep true to our original objectives. Digital physician is simple, easy to deploy, flexible, and available on any device with a modern web browser. Our first client went live in September 2011. Starting January 2012 we began taking on new clients.
Cary C. Stewart M.D., Ph.D. founder of Digital Physician LLC currently practices medicine in Orange County, California. He attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine completing the Medical Scientist Training Program with a PhD in Pharmacology. He completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. Throughout his education and career as a physician, Dr. Stewart has been involved in implementing new technologies and providing guidance to other physicians and professionals.
