DSA, INC. was formed in 2002 by a group of professionals who have worked in the developmental disabilities service system in central Indiana for nearly 20 years. The group homes DSA, INC. were purchased from a multi-state organization. All 16 group homes had at one time been operated by Indiana companies and one goal of DSA, INC. was to assure local ownership. DSA, INC. was started with 120 experienced direct care and professional employees. Most of whom worked for the predecessor agency. DSA, INC. professional staff have educational and experiential backgrounds in nursing, education, social work and business.

• To serve our community by visibly acting as a resource for information and services, and by participating in the development of state and national policies affecting disabled citizens.

DSA (Developmental Service Alternatives) serves intellectually or developmentally disabled adults through programs tailored to the individual and his or her situation and supports. Services can be provided in a residential or family-based setting, in the community, and/or the individuals personal home.
