Family Therapy Center Of Madison
ABOUT US The Family Therapy Center of Madison, Inc. was founded in the early 1980s as an offspring of a greater mental health movement dedicated to providing holistic and humanistic mental health care. Our foundation is built upon a vision and practice of addressing trauma within the expanded context of family and community systems and with a commitment to providing care to under-voiced and under-served people. Since our inception, we have been, and continue to be, dedicated to providing leadership and training to future mental health professionals. As a group of independent clinicians, we have grown over the years to represent a wide breadth of services and specialties. As our practice of more traditional individual therapy has expanded, we have continued to maintain a strong awareness of the greater social issues that affect our clients, including gender, race, culture, class, and power.
We are dedicated to looking beyond the surface and have a long-standing tradition of fostering clinicians who are pioneers in the community in integrative, holistic care. Rather than seeing symptoms merely as something to eradicate or eliminate, we look to these symptoms to guide us into a deeper understanding of each individual, family, or couple, quest for health and healing. As individuals, we are strongly committed to cultivating creativity and joy in our own personal lives, allowing us to bring continued energy, agility, and ingenuity to our practices and truly appreciate the wholeness of the clients that we serve.
