The staff and management of Iowa Focus have years of experience providing community supports to people with disabilities. We believe in including individuals and their families in the hiring process. This service is designed to assist the consumer with daily living needs. SCL is provided to people so that they may learn skills; to provide community activities or integration; to teach personal advocacy and communication skills. Assistance may include, but is not limited to: personal and home skills, community skills, personal needs, transportation and treatment services.
• SCL available to those diagnosed with an Intellectual Disability and/or a Brain Injury.
• SCL may be provided for any amount of time – up to 24 hours a day.
• Consumers can receive SCL in their own home, their family’s home, or a guardian’s home.
(This does not include the provider’s home.)
• SCL is designed to help persons remain outside of an institutional environment.
