Hockessin Walk-In Medical Care

Welcome to Hockessin WALK-IN Medical Care (HWMC). As you tour our facility and meet with our staff, I would like to tell you a little bit about us. HWMC was opened on April 7, 2003. In our first year we cared for over 4,000 patients. Since then we have successfully expanded our practice, and are currently caring for over 14,000 patients per year. We met this increasing need of our growing community by doubling our physical size in June, 2008. Our expansion added to our Papastavros’Associates X-ray, on site Quest Laboratory, premier urgent care,Medical Specialty Suites and 15 fully equipped exam rooms for use during peak evening and weekend hours.

As you walk around the facility, you may quickly recognize a sense of camaraderie and respect amongst our staff members. Our reputation for compassion and quality of medical care is well recognized by Hockessin and the surrounding communities of Delaware and Pennsylvania. Since we participate in the health care and education of local schools and sports leagues, we have many referrals from local school nurses as well as local coaches and trainers.

We pride ourselves on being a dynamic training facility. In the past 6 years we have trained over 100 interns and students ranging from high school and college interns interested in the health professions to nursing students, PA students, medical students and medical residents.
