Lux Research

Dennis Philbin is the CEO of Lux Research and has been leading the company since 2008. During that time Lux Research has grown from three to over twenty practices. The company has expanded from its U.S. roots to a global footprint with offices in N. America, Asia, and Europe to serve its global client base, which now includes over 250 of the world’s largest companies.

Prior to Lux Research, Dennis was an executive at IDC, a global leader in information services. At IDC, he was a Senior Vice President and was responsible for new ventures, expanding IDC’s business portfolio in specific industry and role-based research. In addition, he was responsible for the portfolio of products and services aimed at investors and industrial companies. Dennis also served as Managing Director of IDC Asia/Pacific, with general management responsibility for the company’s 14 Asian country operations. In addition, he has served as an operating board member for IDG companies, Computerworld and BioIT World.

Dennis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and his Master of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin for his thesis on the funding of technological innovation.
