Broadway Medical Clinic

After graduating from the University of Oregon Medical School in 1932, Robert Greene began his career as a general practitioner. He opened his own practice in the growing Hollywood District of Northeast Portland. Five years later in 1937, he moved to 4212 N.E. Broadway to what was to become the Broadway Medical Clinic. More than 75 years later, at the same location, the Clinic continues to care for families and individuals of all ages-from infants to seniors and everyone in between.

All of the physicians who have practiced at Broadway Medical Clinic have always believed the patient comes first. This individualized care has been the hallmark of the Clinic over the past seven-plus decades.

If you looked at the corner of N.E. Broadway and 42nd streets 80 years ago, you would have found a familiar sight. Broadway Medical Clinic continues to operate in the Hollywood District, where it all began in 1937 with Dr. Robert Greene. Today, you will find convenient parking, the Hollywood MAX light-rail station, and major bus routes all within steps of the Clinic.

Our office is conveniently located in the heart of Portland’s Hollywood district at 4212 NE Broadway, Portland, Oregon 97213. The Clinic is within one block of the Hollywood MAX station and two blocks north of I -84 (Banfield freeway). Parking is available adjacent to the building, with entrances on both Broadway and 42nd Avenue.

If an urgent need should arise outside of the regular office hours, please call the main clinic number (503-249-8787) and they will connect you to the answering service. Please call 911 for life threatening emergencies.

To us, nothing is more important than your health.  Our physicians and staff place a high priority on how we care for patients.  Each physician maintains urgent appointment availability in their normal Monday-Friday schedules.  Call us first before accessing an urgent care facility.   Your PCP knows your personal medical history and cares about your whole health which will assure you receive the highest level of care.
