Mercy Behavioral Health
Mercy Behavioral Health (MBH), our largest entity, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. MBH offers a full continuum of recovery-oriented, community-based mental health, intellectual disabilities and drug/alcohol treatment and prevention services. With major state and county contracts, and more than 70 sites, MBH is a premier service provider in our region. The leaders and employees of this ministry live the values: respecting human dignity, striving for community, serving with compassion, practicing stewardship and collaborating in ways that would make our founders proud! Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 185 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine Pittsburgh Mercy has been a trusted provider of innovative, community-based, behavioral health care services for nearly 50 years. As the region’s only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), we’re a leader in integrating physical and behavioral health care and in innovating services to support you in your journey to wellness. All our programs are person-centered and designed to deliver the right level of care at the right time.
