MHA Mental Health America of Lake County

Mental Health America of Lake County (MHA) is a nonprofit agency providing a range of services to families and children designed to prevent crises and enhance family functioning. Our organization stands as one of the premier prevention agencies in Lake County providing evidence-based, culturally-appropriate home-, center-, and school-based parent education services for families. We are grounded in a strength-based philosophy that believes all parents have strengths and resources for their own empowerment.

Our programs provide information and guidance to help parents improve their overall parenting abilities, reduce the incidence of child maltreatment, enhance school readiness, and improve the overall health and well-being of the family. The many programs of MHA are based in prevention and result in empowerment of people served. MHA of Lake County also provides advocacy, education, information and referral services to all Lake County families, related to mental well-being.
