OSF St James John W Albrecht Medical Ctr

OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center has been serving the Livingston County area for over a century with health care services that begin at birth and continue throughout life osf st james john w albrecht

With tireless dedication through the decades, The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis have helped OSF Saint James grow. Community support has been indispensable as well. Today, OSF Saint James continues to offer expanded services.

OSF HealthCare Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center has been serving the Livingston County area since 1907, caring for neighbors, friends, and families from birth throughout the stages of life.

Our caregivers combine skill, experience, compassion, and cutting-edge technology to provide our patients and their guests with the best possible experience each and every time they come to us for care.

We are dedicated to raising the level of health in the communities we serve with education, collaboration with other health services and organizations, and the development of new services to meet our communities’ needs.

Learn more about the medical center’s past and present by reliving our history, reviewing our Mission, Vision, and Values, and familiarizing yourself with the rest of OSF HealthCare.

As part of the new requirements for not-for-profit hospitals, every facility is required to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years and put together a plan to meet the community needs that the assessment identifies.

Every community has different health care needs, including diabetes management, obesity and weight loss management, chronic illness, substance abuse, sexual health, and more.

That’s why our assessment team pulls together a broad set of health care consumers from each service area to help us identify the health needs of each individual community.

After the data is collected and each community’s health needs are prioritized by greatest need, administrative and caregiver teams at OSF work together to further support current community-based health programs and services as well as starting new programs to help meet the needs for each community.

For example, if diabetes management is shown as a major concern in one of the communities we serve, we might look at current diabetes screening and education programs and see how we can better support those programs or even look at new services and facilities like one of our OSF Diabetes Care offices.
