The Persystent Software story began in 1998 when a small group of Florida-based entrepreneurs founded a company called SmartDesk and launched a product that locked down the core configuration of a PC. At the time, the product was sold to boost helpdesk productivity.

With a simple on-demand reboot of the PC, Persystent gets users back up and running in seconds without manual intervention. It eliminates labor intensive fixes and re-imaging. It does this using a proprietary corrective technology that works pre-boot of the OS.
