Founded in 1993 to provide advanced medical imaging and information management solutions, ScImage, Inc. based in Los Altos, California, has a long history of innovation in enterprise imaging informatics. In 1998, ScImage began a development effort that resulted in PICOM, a cutting-edge, enterprise-wide technology, capable of incorporating all diagnostic imaging as well as non-imaging modalities,
such as waveforms and documents, into an Electronic Patient Folder
(EPF™). PICOM provides a single database image archiving and workflow technology that can provide multi-departmental PACS functionality or a unified archive attached to multiple existing PACS solutions, giving the health care enterprise a robust and scalable central archive, universal viewing and telemedicine solution.
