Established in 1961, we are a not-for-profit organization that provides, advocates and coordinates quality mental health care, services and programs in the following counties: Allen, Anderson, Bourbon, Linn, Neosho and Woodson. The Medical Director provides oversight of all mental health services. The psychiatric providers prescribe, monitor, and oversee psychotropic medications. The medication management staff are available in the Humboldt, Fort Scott, Pleasanton, and Garnett offices for Psychiatric Evaluation, Medication Reviews, and other services for adults and children.
Outpatient therapy services are provided by qualified mental health professionals who are licensed by the State of Kansas to provide mental health services to both adults and children. The services can be for individuals, family, and couples counseling. Case Management services are available for adults (CSS) and Children (CBS) to provide support in the community for those who qualify.
These services are distinguished by offering rehabilitative services that are provided in the home, in the community, or in the school. The focus of these services is to work on advocacy, coordination of care, and development of positive coping skills to enhance daily living and the consumer’s quality of life. Other services available are attendant care to support consumers in activities of daily living and Psychosocial Groups to enhance skill sets for both adults and children.
