Although Trebesh has one residential group home, our primary service to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities is providing in-home family support. In-Home Family Support Services is defined by the MN Department of Human Services as; services designed to assist persons in acquiring, retaining and improving the self-help, socialization and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in home and community-based settings. They are services provided to a person and his/her family, including extended family members who are not providing licensed foster care, in the family’s home and/or in the community to enable the person to remain in or return to the home. This may also include training family members to increase their capabilities to care for and maintain the person in their home.
