Valley Mental Health Artec

valley mental health artec Since 1987, Valley Behavioral Health has provided comprehensive treatment and services for people of all ages who are experiencing serious mental illness, substance use disorders and behavior problems valley mental health artec

We believe people are best served in the least restrictive setting where care is tailored to the individual’s needs. Families and community partners play an important role in a person’s recovery.

Valley Behavioral Health is a nonprofit network of clinics providing treatment for behavioral issues, addictions, psychiatric conditions, autism and other chronic health conditions. We treat chronic lifelong issues as well as temporary conditions triggered by traumatic life events. Our programs are tailored to people of all ages and every social, cultural and economic situation.

There are many reasons people don’t seek help for behavioral issues when they need it. But most of them have something to do with the stigmas people often associate with mental illness. Shame and embarrassment are common, as is the attitude that “if I don’t admit to having a problem, it might just go away.”

Our mission is to dispel these feelings and attitudes through education. Too often mental illness is seen as a weakness in character rather than what it really is: a neurobiological or psychological condition. A condition that’s really no different than having diabetes or arthritis With proper diagnosis and treatment, those living with mental illness can lead successful and meaningful lives. After all, choosing to deal with these issues isn’t an indication of weakness—it’s proof of wisdom and courage.
