Wekiva Springs Center For Women

Wekiva Springs Center, located in Jacksonville, Florida, provides behavioral health and substance use treatment to adults and senior adults. Our continuum of care offers inpatient and outpatient programming to accommodate the severity of each patient’s condition. Contact us today to make a referral, schedule a no-cost assessment or learn more about the services we provide. In today’s world, women of all ages face enormous pressure to live up to unrealistic expectations — their own and those of others.

Physically, psychologically, socially and emotionally, women deal daily with issues that are different from those of men—and have significantly different responses to problems.

Women, and the unique challenges they face throughout their lives, are the sole focus at Wekiva Springs Center for Women. We have been treating women’s health issues since 2005. Healing and wellness, through treatment offered in a safe and supportive environment, await you. Our approach to treatment is individualized, holistic, multifaceted and multidisciplinary. Assessments will include comprehensive medical, psychiatric and social evaluations. The assessments will provide a plan to promote mental wellness and recovery. Interventions may include crisis intervention, daily individual consultation with physician, group therapy, family therapy, nutritional education, medication management and recreational therapies.

At Wekiva Springs Center, treatment is focused on the whole person. Each patient’s treatment plan is individualized by our multidisciplinary team, though all treatment plans share some core elements. Every patient sees a primary therapist and attending physician on a regular basis. Patients have a busy schedule of activities and access to an on-site therapist throughout the day. Our daily schedule provides a balance of therapeutic modalities. It gives patients the opportunity to learn relaxation and coping techniques, develop life-enhancing skills; and enjoy the feedback and support of their peers in therapeutic group settings.

Our approach to wellness is customized, holistic and multidisciplinary. Interventions may include medical or psychiatric evaluation; nutritional education; individual, group therapy and family therapy; experiential groups, education groups and medication management. Our primary treatment approach is cognitive behavioral. A 12-step program is utilized in treatment for substance abuse and dual diagnosis.

We believe the spiritual component to treatment is very important and hope people of all faiths will be able to reconnect with their spiritual center at Wekiva Springs. It is important to remember that completing one of our programs is just the beginning. We place special emphasis is on discharge planning and aftercare so each patient departs with a detailed plan of action for sustained recovery.
