Medaxion, maker of mobile-based anesthesiology EHR, raises $950k

anesthesiology ehr

Nashville, Tennessee-based Medaxion, makers of a mobile-based EHR offering for anesthesiologists, raised $950,000, according to an SEC filing. That brings the company’s total known funding to at least $7M to date.

Medaxion has two offerings for anesthesiologists – Medaxion Pulse and Medaxion Q. Pulse helps anesthesiologists document patient data and communicate with other team members. The practitioner enters data into Pulse, available on iPads and iPhones. The app sends updates to the clinical team and administrative staff including event times, case providers, vital signs chart, procedures and patient history. In case of situations like incomplete case records, scheduling conflicts or a role handoff, the system will send detailed text messages to relevant team members.

Medaxion Q helps anesthesiologists with regulatory reporting with streamlined data capture and dashboards that display a number of quality measures such as surgery start, patient arrival and antibiotic administration.
