Medical Groups Using CareCloud’s Patient Experience Management Platform Breeze Average 90% Patient Satisfaction

patient experience

Arizona-based MY DR NOW exemplifies how innovative medical groups are using the latest technology in patient experience management (PXM) to support consumer engagement and care quality strategies

CareCloud, the platform for high-growth medical groups, announced today that medical practices across the country using its comprehensive patient experience management platform, Breeze, are realizing significant improvements on key performance indicators correlated to high patient satisfaction. In addition to saving new patients 10 to 15 minutes during registration, Breeze is helping drive average patient satisfaction scores of 90 percent among practices administering patient surveys.

CareCloud’s Breeze helping medical groups achieve 90% patient satisfaction by improving performance in ways that matter most to patients

Launched in October 2017, Breeze helps patients manage every interaction with a practice including check-in, appointments, messages, intake forms, and payments natively on Clover® Stations, iOS or Android devices, or any computer — transforming the relationship between patient and practice. Breeze integrates the core patient activities coordinated by the front office into one seamless digital workflow. The platform offers medical groups an alternative to procuring and managing a set of separate technology solutions or dealing with paper and phone-based tasks that keep staff working overtime and make patients frustrated.

MY DR NOW, a growing primary care medical group with 110 providers working across 7 brick and mortar locations in the Greater Phoenix area as well as offering extensive mobile services throughout Arizona, exemplifies how practices can benefit from taking a comprehensive approach to patient experience technology. Since implementing Breeze in July 2018, the group has reduced new patient check-in time by more than 50%, a time savings that has saved their staff, and more importantly, their patients thousands of hours a month. The group also has seen a significant reduction in patient balances and is now processing 63% of patient payments electronically through Breeze.

“We’ve received very positive feedback on Breeze from our patients who are happy to be done with clipboards, but I’d say the biggest piece that sells Breeze as a platform is the payments technology,” said Ron Margalit, MY DR NOW’s chief technology officer. “Being able to present the patient with the information on their balance during the check-in process allows this information to be addressed discreetly. By handling payment up front, our staff is able to focus check-out on answering questions and talking with the patient about managing their care.”

The results achieved by MY DR NOW are representative of what the 700 providers who have implemented Breeze are seeing in their practices. Within the first 16 months on the market, Breeze has saved the typical practice around 380 hours at check-in and increased collection rates on patient financial obligations by 5 to 10 percent.

“We love hearing the positive reactions our clients are getting from their patients about being able to do things like upload their medical information or make payments from their phone,” said Sarah Hughes, Director of Product Management. “As someone who closely watches the platform performance analytics, it’s also gratifying to see the productivity gains our clients are achieving. We know that cutting down waiting room time and giving patients more flexibility in how they pay their balances are two areas that drive how a patient rates their experience with a practice, so we’ll continue to focus on making it easier for our clients to track key metrics like these and flag ways they can use Breeze to keep raising the bar.”
