Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) August 04, 2015

MedicaSoft today announced that its HealthCenter personal health record (PHR) product has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) 2014 Edition Modular Ambulatory and Inpatient EHR Certification from Drummond Group. HealthCenter delivers the highest quality personal health record and patient portal solution to healthcare providers and patients. This certification designates that HealthCenter provides the functionality that enables eligible providers and hospitals to meet Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements, qualifying these organizations to receive payments under the ongoing EHR adoption program.

HealthCenter is used by individuals to manage their personal health information. MedicaSoft provides HealthCenter to organizations such as healthcare providers, companies, and non-profits that offer PHR capabilities to their patients, employees or members to empower them to better manage their health and wellness.

“Patient engagement is critical to effective healthcare, and HealthCenter provides innovative technology to maximize patient engagement,” said MedicaSoft CEO Michael O’Neill. “We are committed to helping healthcare providers and patients access and use health information to improve health outcomes.”

HealthCenter Meaningful Use Modular certification allows providers to use HealthCenter to meet Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use patient portal requirements, including the ability for patients to view, download, and transmit their health information. HealthCenter is also certified to provide secure messaging and patient-specific education resources and meets all privacy and security criteria.
