Meditab is proud to announce its IMS® software, IMS version 14 SP1, has achieved the The Office of the National Coordinator’s HIT 2014 Edition.

This announcement signifies the company’s complete electronic health record certification, which designates the software capable of supporting eligible providers with meeting stage 1 and stage 2 meaningful use requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Additional certification included optional criteria for Cancer Registries and for all the 64 CQM measures.

“We are pleased to be among the top few EHRs in the U.S. that now provides for all the 64 CQM measures and has passed the strict certification standards,” said Kunal Shah, President, Meditab Software. “We look forward to providing improved access for clients and patients alike to improve overall patient care.”

ONC HIT Certification for 2014 is granted to those technologies capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals that wish to demonstrate stage 2 meaningful use. This focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver quality patient care and securely exchange clinical information.

IMS version 14 SP1’s certification numbers are 140025R00 and 140353R00. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Clinical quality measures to which IMS version 14 SP1 has been certified include:

  • Capture and export
  • Import and calculation
  • Electronic submission

Additional revenue types an eligible provider would pay to meet meaningful use objectives and measures include: monthly service fees, interface development or configuration fees, integration fees for health information exchange or third party database products to support patient education or other required patient services.
