Meditech to Showcase its Innovative Web Ambulatory EHR at HIMSS 2015

This innovative technology is the cornerstone of MEDITECH’s mission to reimagine healthcare and redefine productivity.

Medical Information Technology, Inc. (MEDITECH) is breaking new ground at HIMSS 2015 in Chicago, as the vendor will showcase how its innovative Web EHR is transforming productivity for healthcare providers in an increasingly value-based world.

Booth #6315 is where MEDITECH will publicly launch its new Web Ambulatory functionality, during a special event on Monday, April 13. Customers, prospects, and media will have the opportunity to see how the Web EHR will enhance physicians’ ability to meet consumer demands and deliver quality care across the continuum.

“We’re very excited to be showing our bold, new Web EHR for the ambulatory setting,” said Helen Waters, MEDITECH VP of sales and marketing. “It’s really going to revolutionize the way clinicians practice, and bring usability to a whole new level by emphasizing the physician experience.”

Each day of the conference, MEDITECH customers will be present in the booth to talk about why their organizations selected the Web EHR, including:

-Ed Ricks, VP Information Services & CIO at Beaufort Memorial (Beaufort, SC)
-Tom Stafford, PMP, VP & CIO at Halifax Health Medical Center (Daytona, FL)
-Cindy Peterson, VP & CIO at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital (Valencia, CA)
-Dr. David Niland, Medical Information Officer at Galway Clinic (Galway, Ireland)

Also new this year, a variety of physician and executive leaders will be at the booth discussing key industry topics, during featured session presentations. Attendees can learn more about MEDITECH’s strategic direction, as well as their approach to population health management, interoperability, physician productivity, and disruptive technologies.

“Healthcare organizations today are dealing with a great deal of change and rapidly rising expectations, and we are all evolving with the times,” said Waters. “MEDITECH has successfully reimagined what an EHR can do, and we can’t wait to show everyone the results at HIMSS this year. If you think you know us, think again.”

Members of the media should contact PR Representative Liz Carroll for more information, and/or to coordinate interviews with MEDITECH executives and customers. Liz can be reached at ecarroll@meditech.com or (781) 774-3279.
