Jeff Riggins, Account Manager, HealthTronics IT Solutions
Director, Graduate Certificate in Digital Health Communication, Drury University

Mr. Riggins has worked in Healthcare IT for more than a decade consulting with providers, clinicians, and administrators working in rural hospitals, home health and hospice agencies, family practice clinics, and specialty practices. His main focus is implementing and supporting EHR systems across multiple platforms.

In 2010 Riggins joined the faculty of Drury University’s graduate certificate in social media. He helped develop and maintain the program as a part-time assistant to three Ph.D.’s in the communication department.

His experiences in multiple Healthcare IT care settings combined with his knowledge of digital communications led Riggins to co-create and direct the university’s graduate certificate in Digital Health Communication. Drury’s innovative program aims to bridge the digital health knowledge gap by bringing academics and professionals together in a dynamic accelerated learning environment while making full use of the technologies pertinent to digital health communication.

“Health researchers and professionals working in the field understand that digital health technology is most effective when combined with a strong focus on human communication.”

Riggins earned an MA in Integrated Marketing from Drury University and a BS in Public Relations from Missouri State University.
