State-wide Initiative Helps Physicians Leverage Quality Improvement Measures for Enhanced Reimbursement for 200 Providers Across 16 Community Health Centers

WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—April 7, 2015—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announces that Montana Primary Care Association has engaged the company to ensure optimal HEDIS performance for 200 providers across 16 community health centers. The HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) measurement set by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has become one of the most widely-used measurement sets across the country. More than 90 percent of health plans in the United States use HEDIS to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service, and it factors into a variety of quality payment programs.

eClinicalWorks works with providers to track, measure and report HEDIS quality metrics. Providers and care teams will be able to identify non-compliant patients who are eligible for interventional opportunities at the point of care, and care managers can generate outreach campaigns for patients who are not scheduled to see the practice in the future. In addition, the solution allows the practice to view its performance scores at an organizational level, with a drill down capability from facility to provider and all the way to patient-level data.

“Montana Primary Care Associations takes on initiatives and looks for partners that help promote health equity for our state,” said Bob Marsalli, executive director of Montana Primary Care Association. “HEDIS measures address important population health issues like smoking cessation, diabetes and asthma that affect many of our patients. Utilizing eClinicalWorks’ technology and services will help us identify and address these patients in a timely and consistent manner, ultimately delivering higher-quality care for our patients. We look forward to partnering with eClinicalWorks to help us track our HEDIS measure reporting performance and keep us moving toward continual process improvement.”

HEDIS measures have become an integral part of the quality measurement and improvement landscape,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “We have evolved our offerings surrounding the HEDIS measurement set to deliver optimal support and technology, enabling our clients to position quality improvement goals at the point of care. We are excited to help our clients, including Montana Primary Care Association, use these tools in their quest to achieve the triple aim of better care, better health at an affordable cost.”
