Netsmart Highlights Client Success and AI-Powered CareFabric® Transformation at CONNECTIONS2025

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 15, 2025 — Netsmart hosted healthcare professionals, partners, and associates at the 18th annual CONNECTIONS2025 (CONN25) conference in Kansas City, Missouri. This Hometown Edition focused on collaboration and innovation, highlighting the growing role of augmented intelligence (AI), automation, and advanced technology within the Netsmart CareFabric® platform.

The event opened with a keynote from Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine, who celebrated client successes and key platform milestones, including impacting over 165 million lives across the care continuum. He emphasized the theme, “The Future is Here: Empowering Your Enterprise Through AI and Automation,” encouraging organizations to rethink their digital infrastructure and embrace AI-driven solutions integrated with electronic health records (EHR) to achieve measurable results.

“Our CONNECTIONS event brings together clients and partners to reflect on our progress and future direction,” said Valentine. “With rapid technological advances, the value of your platform will grow as AI and automation evolve, creating new ways to enhance care delivery. Together, we are building a smarter, more connected future based on agility, collaboration, and purpose.”

A highlight of the keynote was the introduction of the inaugural Healthcare IT (HIT) Value Model Awards, recognizing organizations excelling in technology adoption and measurable value. The awards, which benchmark digital maturity across seven performance areas, honored Devereux, Center for Human Development, Merakey, Ohio’s Hospice, and Integral Care for achievements in analytics, automation, interoperability, workforce management, and AI-driven clinical innovation.

Following the keynote, attendees explored the latest AI and automation tools in the CareFabric suite, including Bells AI, a clinical documentation coach; AlphaCollector™; Benny, a revenue cycle AI assistant; and Otto, a virtual support assistant. The CareFabric platform now features over 60 solutions designed to digitize operations across revenue cycle management, interoperability, mobility, machine learning, data, and analytics, driving value throughout community-based care.

Another major highlight of the event was the return of Innovation Labs. The AI Data Lab, created in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), provided an interactive space where attendees explored how Netsmart and AWS are driving innovation through generative AI, predictive analytics, and automation. This was supported by over 20 Tech Talks showcasing real-world applications and best practices. In the Interoperability Lab, attendees reviewed their current interoperability strategies and learned how the Netsmart Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN™) designation enhances data exchange and connectivity to support coordinated, whole-person care.

Over the course of the three-and-a-half-day conference, client experts and Netsmart speakers shared success stories, industry insights, and best practices across more than 135 educational sessions. Netsmart continues to collaborate with clients, partners, and industry leaders to fuel ongoing innovation and transformation in community-based care. The expanding impact of the CareFabric platform demonstrates this commitment by advancing healthcare technology, optimizing care delivery, and empowering providers in human services, post-acute care, payer, and public sector markets to improve the lives of those they serve.
