NextGen Enterprise EHR Achieves HTI-1 Compliance

NextGen Healthcare Secures HTI-1 Compliance for NextGen® Enterprise EHR, Aligning with New AI, Data, and Interoperability Standards

Healthtech Firm Achieves Compliance Ahead of ONC’s December 31 Deadline

REMOTE-FIRST COMPANY / Washington, DC — Aug. 27, 2025 – NextGen Healthcare, a leading provider of cloud-based healthcare technology solutions, announced today that version 8 of its NextGen® Enterprise EHR has achieved ONC Health IT Certification. This accomplishment positions NextGen among a select group of healthtech companies meeting the new, rigorous standards established by the Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy/Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ASTP/ONC), the federal authority on health IT.

ONC Health IT Certification validates that a healthcare technology solution adheres to best practices in key areas such as AI and predictive algorithm use, patient data reporting, and secure information exchange. When HTI-1 compliance becomes mandatory later this year, it is expected to advance care delivery by prioritizing interoperability and transparency across the healthcare ecosystem.

“Reaching compliance months ahead of ONC’s December 31 deadline is a significant achievement for our team and clients,” said Srinivas (Sri) Velamoor, president and chief operating officer of NextGen Healthcare. “It underscores our commitment to embedding innovative AI and analytics into our platform, while helping clients stay ahead of regulatory requirements so they can keep their focus on patient care.”
