Nicolette, Inc. Taps RosettaHealth Platform for NICU Health Data Exchange

RosettaHealth, an innovative and secure, big health data interoperability platform, today announced that its health data exchange platform is being used in Nicolette, Inc.’s NicoBoard solution, a bedside empowerment technology for parents with babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Recently launched by Nicolette, Inc., NicoBoard dramatically improves parents’ participation in their baby’s care and enhances the partnership with their healthcare team. The solution provides families with the confidence and competence to be better caregivers, while also potentially reducing hospital length of stay and readmissions – yielding substantial savings to healthcare systems and payers.

The NicoBoard solution is leveraging RosettaHealth’s HealthBus solution, a SaaS-based solution that enables full health information exchange capabilities for sending and receiving all standardized exchange formats. It also offers real-time network analytics capabilities, which include detailed connection status as well as metrics and logs about each facility, feed or protocol.

“The RosettaHealth platform plays a crucial role in NicoBoard’s integration with hospital EHR systems, providing excellent security, integrity, and performance,” said Phil Martie, Co-Founder and CEO of Nicolette, Inc. “It is a partnership that we are proud to have in our mission to empower NICU parents.”

Specifically, the HealthBus solution is enabling the use of HL7’s V2 messaging standard, which is being processed and rendered in the NicoBoard application. Ultimately, this allows parents to gain a complete picture of the care being provided for their child in the NICU.

“We are thankful for the opportunity to support a solution that truly helps parents during a very difficult time in their lives,” said Buff Colchagoff, CEO of RosettaHealth. “In addition, the integration of our solution into NicoBoard reinforces how health data exchange capabilities can be used in non-traditional ways for health IT providers.”

CHOC Children’s, a pediatric healthcare system in Orange County, California, is the first organization to implement the technology.

About RosettaHealth

The RosettaHealth platform is making electronic health record exchange affordable and ubiquitous. Currently, more than ten million health records move across the platform per month. The SaaS platform enables efficiencies, scale and ease not seen before in records exchange.
