Healthland partners with InteliChart to support Meaningful Use Stage 2 for rural and critical access hospitals: Healthland, the nation’s largest provider of integrated solutions to rural community and critical access hospitals, today announced that they have partnered with InteliChart, leading provider of patient engagement and HIE technology, adding the InteliChart Patient Portal as its exclusive patient engagement solution. Healthland will integrate InteliChart’s 2014 ONC-certified patient portal with its electronic health records (EHR) solution designed for hospitals and ambulatory clinics. This combined offering will provide Healthland clients with a secure way to exchange health data in accordance with Meaningful Use Stage 2 measures. As a result of this partnership, organizations using the Healthland EHR will have access to the InteliChart Patient Portal, enhancing workflows and enabling patients to engage in their healthcare in a way that will yield sustained benefits to patients and Healthland clients. Healthland will leverage InteliChart’s application programming interface (API) to achieve seamless integration and to capitalize on the ongoing evolution of the InteliChart Patient Portal. The terms of the partnership also provide Healthland with flexibility – through flexible hosting alternatives and an optional source license (SL) to incorporate its own modifications.

M*Modal introduces medical dictation app for iPhone mobile digital devices: M*Modal, a leading provider of clinical documentation services and Speech Understanding solutions, today announced a medical dictation app for iPhone mobile digital devices, expanding the company’s mobility solutions. The M*Modal Fluency Flex(TM) Mobile app lets doctors quickly and accurately record clinical notes during patient encounters for easy integration with electronic health record systems (EHRs), increasing physician productivity and documentation quality. M*Modal will be demonstrating its iPhone app at the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) conference, being held October 26-30 in Atlanta, Ga. (Booth #1435). M*Modal Fluency Flex Mobile is a cloud-based application that connects doctors with hospital information systems to access patient data and dictate notes on the go. The app captures high-quality audio which is converted to text using the M*Modal Fluency for Transcription speech engine for fast turnaround time and integration in provider workflows and clinical documentation systems. “M*Modal Fluency Flex Mobile lets our physicians work when and where they want to work,” said Dr. Michael Sanders, Medical Director at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, Miss. “Physicians appreciate being able to use their own smartphones, especially when a dictation device is hard to find or not readily available. In addition, the app provides a secure platform that ensures patient information remains private. This flexible dictation platform provides mobility and freedom that our physicians need and appreciate.”
iMedicor announces that it has signed a reseller agreement with Ranger Networks: iMedicor is pleased to announce that it has signed Ranger Networks to a reseller agreement to help penetrate the medical community with iMedicor’s unique core product the iCore Exchange. The iCore Exchange is an interoperable, HIPAA-compliant exchange network where customers can send and receive secure emails within a HIPAA-compliant environment, as well as secure instant messaging and the ability to communicate with professionals outside the network with NwHIN Direct Protocol. The iCore Exchange also allows physician practices to network within a community of peers to facilitate referrals and appointments. “We are very enthusiastic about our reseller agreement with Ranger Networks as the company has a long standing history of successful medical client engagements throughout its history,” stated Robert McDermott, CEO of iMedicor. “This agreement is the first of several partnerships that we envision will be implemented in the coming months and beyond that will propel us to meeting our future goals of growth and profitability.” Under the “RangerExchange” private label agreement, iMedicor’s technology will enable efficient workflow and reduced ambiguity between many different Ranger EHRs clients. The Exchange allows for secure and seamless electronic transfer of communications and patient data, from notes to lab reports. Healthcare employees can transmit data between departments, hospital systems, physician’s offices, law offices and all other healthcare-related organizations, regardless of your EHR service provider. Ultimately, an interoperable environment improves the delivery of health care by breaking down barriers to safe, effective communication.
