St. Luke’s University Health Network Selects Nuvon to Drive Quality Improvement through Medical Device Integration and Clinical Intelligence
By collecting, transforming, and transferring data from bedside medical devices to the Health Network’s electronic medical record system and other clinical applications, Nuvon helps present meaningful and actionable information to St. Luke’s clinicians to support optimal healthcare decision-making.

Nuvon, Inc. and St. Luke’s University Health Network have partnered to improve healthcare quality and efficiency, and reduce costs through the collection and integration of high fidelity data from medical devices.

After completing a rigorous assessment of potential partnering organizations, St. Luke’s selected Nuvon as its partner in this increasingly important medical device integration and interoperability space. “Nuvon presented a solution with the ideal combination of functionality, performance, and practicality,” said St. Luke’s CIO Chad Brisendine. “Their solution is backed by an impressive implementation team with a deep understanding of the healthcare environment.”

Specifically, St. Luke’s selected Nuvon’s VegaTM System (Vega), which is a risk mitigation platform that facilitates the timely and accurate collection, transfer, and automated clinical documentation of medical device data to an electronic medical record (EMR) or other clinical application. Recently ranked in a KLAS report as the top medical device interoperability (MDI) solution on the market, Vega allows care providers to focus on what they do best, care for their patients. By enabling data to automatically flow from connected devices to the EMR and other clinical applications, hospitals can:

  •     Improve overall patient safety and quality of care
  •     Increase staff productivity and efficiency
  •     Leverage the existing EMR investment – facilitate meeting Meaningful Use requirements, and
  •     Eliminate transcription errors

“We are delighted to partner with St. Luke’s, which has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to exceptional care quality and cutting-edge innovation,” said Nuvon CEO Christopher Gatti. “This collaboration will result in the availability of smarter data to help St. Luke’s clinicians achieve even better outcomes.”

In addition to St. Luke’s, Nuvon is the partner of choice for several other leading health systems across the country, including The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Virtua Health, NorthShore University Health System, and Denver Health.
