OneDX, medical images Platform attracted multiple views at 2016 HIMSS Annual Conference

4-steps-for-ensuring-a-successful-ehr-optimization-project

OneDX®, the platform that enables medical images to be viewed, downloaded, and shared securely from remote points using any iOS, Android, or Windows OS device, attracted multiple views from health care professionals at the 2016 HIMSS Annual Conference, March 1- 3 in Las Vegas. With its customizable features, this new technology is redefining coordinated health care delivery for imaging centers in New York and Connecticut. Physicians using the platform view medical images generated offsite and integrate them instantly into a patient’s electronic health record (EHR), avoiding bottlenecks that can delay when patients receive results.

OneDX serves as a bridge for Shelton, Conn.-based Advanced Radiology Consultants (ARC) and Yale-New Haven Health to share protected medical images and patient health records without costly setup for site-to-site virtual private networks (VPNs) or new inbound ports. Using the OneDX® Physician Patient Portal, physicians can review and download images from any Internet browser or mobile device platform and share them with other physicians. Patients gain similar viewing and sharing capabilities through the OneDX universal viewer that allows them to see images and read final charts simultaneously. The user-friendly platform provides this unprecedented access without patients hitting security blocks or creating special logins to access files from picture archive and communication systems (PACS).

In 2015, ARC patients accessed and viewed more than 200,000 exams on the patient portal equipped with features that allow them to share images with consulting specialists. The quality of patient access to health records allows ARC to continue to meet increasingly rigorous guidelines set by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to qualify for financial incentives by demonstrating “meaningful use” of certified EHR technology.

Lindenhurst, NY-based Zwanger-Pesiri (ZP) Radiology also uses the OneDX portal. Last year patients in the Long Island, NY area accessed more than 164,000 exams. Using the platform, patients avoid the inconvenience of transferring images via CDs and of scheduling duplicative procedures. OneDX’s vendor neutral capability provides this assurance by allowing access to medical results electronically from any web browser.

“OneDX sets a new course for coordinated health care delivery by facilitating interoperability between disparate PACS and EHR systems,” said OneDX founder and CEO Kayo Olufowobi. “It is changing the way health care is delivered.”
