Parallon Nurse Damien Murdoch Selected as Healthcare National Staffing Employee of the Year

Parallon, a leading provider of healthcare business and operational services, announced today that Damien Murdoch, a travel nurse employee of Parallon’s Workforce Solutions business unit, was recognized as the National Staffing Employee of the Year All-Star in the health care sector.

Murdoch was recognized during National Staffing Employee Week, Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. The week was created to honor the contributions of the more than three million temporary and contract employees on assignment in support of U.S. businesses and the economy. He earned the recognition as an outstanding example of how healthcare professionals can leverage staffing employment both for its flexibility and as a bridge to a permanent job. Murdoch was selected as the National Staffing Employee of the Year All-Star in the healthcare sector, along with All-Stars from the following four industry sectors: engineering, IT, and scientific; industrial; office–clerical and administrative; and professional/managerial.

Murdoch chose travel nursing as a career because of the flexibility and variety it offered. This flexibility has allowed him more time to pursue his other great passions in life: cycling and the great outdoors. As well, Murdoch recently returned to school to complete his bachelor’s degree. Prior to nursing, Murdoch served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
