Precise Launches First Unified Behavioral Health Operating System (BOS) for End-to-End Care

Created by clinicians for clinicians, BOS enhances clinical outcomes, financial efficiency, and value-based care results.

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESS Newswire / November 11, 2025 — Precise Behavioral, a leading tech-enabled behavioral health company serving health systems, skilled nursing facilities, correctional facilities, ACOs, and medical groups, today announced the launch of its Behavioral Health Operating System (BOS). The integrated platform supports the full continuum of care for patients requiring behavioral health services and treatments. BOS addresses clinical, financial, and technological needs in a single system, enabling healthcare organizations to deliver behavioral health in traditional fee-for-service (FFS) models or value-based care (VBC) arrangements, including Collaborative Care, CoCM, or managed populations.

“As a trained therapist and former leader of a Behavioral Health Service line at a major Midwestern health system, I experienced firsthand the challenges of efficiently serving patients with multiple siloed ‘best-in-class’ point solutions that didn’t integrate with each other or the EHR,” said Luke Raymond, LCPC, EVP of Strategy and Value-Based Care at Precise Behavioral. “This fragmentation often disrupted patient care transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings. Precise BOS addresses this challenge by providing a single, unified platform that replaces multiple disconnected vendors, allowing organizations to activate the components they need, when they need them, and expand behavioral health coverage across all care settings.”

Typically, health systems rely on three to five separate point solutions—ranging from telepsychiatry to scheduling and digital therapeutics—that rarely integrate with EHRs, creating additional administrative burdens. Many vendors focus solely on acute care or ambulatory practices, which have distinct workflows and requirements. No other vendor offers a multi-tiered technology stack capable of fully integrating with an organization’s EHR to support inpatient workflows and connected ambulatory practices, while also enabling on-demand scheduling, virtual visits, risk monitoring, care management, and patient surveys.

“Precise Behavioral Health has become a key part of our care management program at Independent Healthcare Partners (IHP). Over the past two years, we have collaborated with Precise to develop a comprehensive program for patients in need,” said Larry Jones, CEO of Independent Healthcare Partners in Florida, which manages commercial ACOs, a Medicare MSO, and participates in the CMS ACO program. “The BOS offers a digital-first approach to identifying and stratifying high-risk behavioral health patients, improving outcomes, reducing unnecessary ER visits and costs, and delivering programs that enhance their quality of life.”

Core Modules of the BOS Operating System
A multi-layered, digital-first platform featuring AI-driven risk stratification, patient monitoring, and digital resources to support care transitions, the system includes:

  • Patient App: Provides personalized daily support content, mood tracking, and progress insights, including guided journeys for specific clinical conditions. Features measurement-based tools for early detection, ongoing monitoring, and enhanced patient engagement.
  • Clinician Portal: Assists in triaging patients to the appropriate level of care, including escalating higher-acuity cases to prevent avoidable ER visits. Includes dashboards and registries to manage patients in Collaborative Care and CoCM programs.
  • Work Queue Management: Enables real-time tracking and assignment of behavioral health consults, ensuring on-demand requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Provides real-time insights to support value-based care, including performance tracking for key behavioral health metrics and HEDIS measures.
  • Telehealth: Offers scheduled and on-demand access to behavioral health specialists, delivering timely, high-quality care that supports value-based outcomes.
  • Referral Management Portal: Simplifies and monitors behavioral health referrals, integrating seamlessly with EHR systems to ensure efficient access to care and prevent patients from falling through the cracks.
  • RCM & Billing: Focuses on behavioral health coding and reimbursement, including pass-through billing for partners in both FFS and VBC arrangements. Tracks all billable activities, including time spent on text chats or case reviews.

The full operating system is backed by the Precise Clinical Network, which includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and care managers, providing scheduled or on-demand support across inpatient, post-acute, and ambulatory care settings.
BOS at Work
The BOS operates across a variety of care settings. In hospitals and emergency departments, it can enhance patient throughput, reduce clinical workload, and increase reimbursement.

“As a geriatric psychiatrist working in hospitals and emergency rooms for over 20 years, I witnessed patients discharged after mental health episodes often receiving little to no coordinated follow-up care. This frequently led to repeat ED visits and gaps in HEDIS compliance,” said Dr. Nitin Nanda, CEO of Precise Behavioral. “That’s why we developed BOS as a modular, digital-first platform to provide post-discharge solutions that ensure follow-up care after ED visits, improving clinical, financial, and operational outcomes. Its modular design allows organizations to tailor care across different environments, offering a scalable framework instead of a one-size-fits-all approach.”

In primary care and specialty outpatient settings, BOS delivers evidence-based integrated behavioral health solutions, as well as dedicated ambulatory behavioral health services, enhancing both patient and clinician experiences while driving strong clinical outcomes.

“The BOS platform empowers primary care providers to address behavioral health needs, close referral gaps, and create new revenue streams,” said Matt McCormick, Chief Growth Officer of Precise Behavioral Health. “It supports team-based Collaborative Care by providing workflows, time tracking, and purpose-built Patient Registries and Care Management Dashboards, all designed to support value-based care contracting and ensure long-term practice profitability and sustainability.”
