PrimaryPoint: new system gives quick and easy access to primary care policies and procedures

Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) has launched PrimaryPoint – a new web-based system which can help primary care organisations reduce day-to-day administration and be compliant with the latest legislation and best practice.

General practices and primary care networks (PCNs) across the country face different challenges, but one thing they all have in common is the need for more space and time to focus on improving care for patients.

PrimaryPoint provides primary care with 24/7 access to the latest policies, procedures, toolkits and other services quickly and easily through a new online portal. With one click, documents are ready-personalised with the organisation’s own details and logos; helping to reduce administration and ensuring a professional finish. All supported by MLCSU’s team of professional subject experts.

PrimaryPoint can assist general practices, PCNs and GP Federations with information governance, finance and human resources – with more areas to follow.

As part of the NHS, Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is focused on creating value to deliver competitively priced and effective support to a range of public sector organisations across the country. MLCSU staff have a wealth of skills and experience to support and advise colleagues in primary care.

Dawn Wickham, Associate Director for Primary Care, at MLCSU said: “PrimaryPoint has been designed exclusively for primary care, to make it as easy as possible to adopt, update and replace their policies and procedures. Bespoke guidance, tools and services will save organisations time and money – freeing up resources to spend on patients.

“Users will have access to expert specialist support, best practice documents, nationally-recognised products, plus a number of high-quality toolkits and systems exclusively developed in-house at MLCSU that will help streamline organisational processes.”

Sign up today at www.primarypoint.co.uk to access primary care services, policies, procedures, products and support. To contact the MLCSU primary care team, please email mlcsu.primarycareteam@nhs.net.
