Prime Clinical EHR & Practice Management Software Announces Integration

Prime Clinical Systems, a leading provider of EHR software and clinical data management solutions, has partnered with Sphinx Medical Technologies to develop the first ever iPhone app to replace traditional answering services by integrating with the Patient Chart Manager EHR and OnStaff Practice Management system.

The new app is CallMyDoc™.  This service is run completely from the physician’s iPhone or iPad, and eliminates the need for a costly after-hours or out-of-office answering service.

CallMyDoc™ allows on-call physicians who use Prime Clinical software to respond to afterhours or out-of-office patient calls directly from their iPhone or iPad.  The app identifies the patient calling, and allows the physician to respond to a patient call with a number of different automatic response options (including pushing a scheduled appointment to the patient, calling the patient back with the doctor’s response, or setting up a real-time conference bridge with the patient).

The integration with CallMyDoc™ means that physicians using Prime Clinical EHR and PM software will have access to all patient medications, allergies, labs, and demographics wherever they are when patients call after hours.  Additionally, all doctor/patient interactions are automatically sent back to the patient chart, which allows doctors to bill for afterhours and out-of-office phone calls.  Users can also order prescriptions and send them directly to the patient’s pharmacy.

Dr. Shahinaz Soliman, of the Soliman Care Family Practice Center in Torrance, CA, has been using the CallMyDoc™ app exclusively with her Prime Clinical EHR and PM, without the need for afterhours or out-of-office call center.  “This type of mobile, on-the-spot response to patient calls is much more efficient for me, and has greatly freed up my time, improved patient access, satisfaction and my quality of life,” said Dr. Soliman.
