Secure Exchange Solutions Partners with Arcora Foundation to Improve Oral Health

Secure Exchange Solutions

Secure Exchange Solutions a leading provider of interoperable, cloud-based clinical data exchange technology, today announced a collaboration with Arcora Foundation, a pioneer in promoting better oral health for Medicaid patients and other underserved populations. Secure Exchange Solutions is integrating their SES Connect software with Arcora Foundation’s Salesforce CRM to identify and connect Medicaid patients directly to providers.

SES Connect is a web services Application Programming Interface (API) that seamlessly integrates with and speeds Direct communications between any healthcare platform, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient portals, clinical data repositories (CDRs) patient health applications and practice management systems.

By integrating the Connect API with the Salesforce CRM, Arcora Foundation is alerted when a Medicaid patient is discharged from the hospital via CCDA. The CRM app then geo-locates the closest Medicaid dentist and Arcora Foundation contacts the patient to schedule an appointment with the dental provider.

“Our agreement with Secure Exchange reflects our determination to improve oral health access, especially for those most in need, so that everyone enjoys good oral health,” said Kristen West, Senior Director of Policy and Programs, Arcora Foundation. “Being able to reach patients at hospital discharge and quickly connect them to a dental provider nearby is critical to bridging the gap in dental care that currently exists.”

Oral disease is one of the most common chronic diseases in the US. And it disproportionately affects low-income adults and children. Barriers to care such as living in an area with a shortage of dental professionals, lack of insurance or insurance that doesn’t cover dental care, prevent people from accessing the dental care they need to stay healthy.

The Secure Exchange – Arcora Foundation partnership in Washington State serves as a use case for other states. Secure messaging integrated with Salesforce helps get patients out of the emergency room and connected with the dental care they urgently need. This saves money for families, businesses and taxpayers. It’s the right thing to do because everyone deserves good health.

To learn more about the Arcora Foundation use case and others, visit Secure Exchange Solutions in booth #6842 during the 2019 HiMSS Global Conference & Exhibition in Orlando, February 11-15.
