Should You Use Influencers to Boost PR?

In the digital age, marketing and PR have become a strange business. There are so many possibilities for how to market your product or services, and it can be tough to decide which one is the right fit for you. Many businesses have turned to influencers, whose high follower count make their sponsorship a benefit to those looking to boost revenue and get more eyes on the website. This article will help you decide if partnering with an influencer is the right move for your next marketing campaign.

1. Improves Ranking on Search Engines

One of the top undiscussed reasons for partnering with influencers is that their use of your company’s name, product name and hashtags will push your site to the top of the list when people google relevant terms. This is incredibly valuable for businesses that are perhaps a little harder to find in traditional searches. Getting good back links as a result of working with experienced influencers and bloggers is a great way to earn Google’s “trust” as a reliable website and will end up increasing your website’s clicks. If this is something you’re looking to improve in your marketing, for every kind of business from cosmetics to commercial utilities, then partnering with an influencer might be the solution you’re looking for.

2. Establishes Trust in Your Brand

Creating a “brand” is an enormous part of marketing in this day and age. If you don’t have a product or company logo that is immediately recognizable, it’s unlikely that you’ll maintain a loyal fan base. Partnering with an influencer means all that hard work of establishing a brand and trust with your audience has been done for you already. The influencer has the fan base, has their trust, and has their eyes and ears multiple times per day. By having them talk about your product as something they use and trust, their fans are likely to also assume they can use and trust your product. This transference of trust means you’ll be able to establish credibility more quickly than you otherwise would, so if establishing credibility is something you struggle to do, you may want to take this step. You should get crm for small business to keep track of which influencer and lifestyle helped gain the customer.

3. Generates New Customers

Now that you have the eyes and ears of an entire target audience, it’s time to attract them to your website and make some real sales. Influencers can help you with this in a number of ways. Most frequently, you’ll provide them with discount codes they can use to convince new buyers take advantage of a great new deal. The promo code is also a great way for you to track the success of the influencer’s campaign. The more clicks they generate, the more successful you can assume their campaign was, and you’ll want to work with them again someday.

Of course, the number of sales generated is usually fewer than the number of followers the influencer has, so don’t go into the partnership expecting a one to one ratio of followers to sales. Over time, if the influencer continues to use and promote your product, more and more of their followers will begin to purchase it.

4. Puts a Face to the Name

It can be tricky trying to humanize a business that has no one person representing it. Many big name brands, particularly with cosmetics, will partner with celebrities to make their product more appealing to a wider audience. An influencer can accomplish this goal as well, perhaps on a smaller scale, but still effectively. Rather than seeing a product and not knowing what to think, the customer will now associate your product with a friendly, familiar face, perhaps one they trust and admire. If making your product more consumer-friendly is a goal for your business, partnering with an influencer might be right for you.

If you’re not familiar with the world of social media marketing, taking this step might seem bizarre. But an influencer can help take your business to the next level, and can totally change how you market forever.
