Stratice Healthcare and The MED Group Announce Strategic Partnership

stratice healthcare

Stratice Healthcare, a leading health information technology company and developer of eDMEplus(TM), an electronic prescribing platform that connects healthcare providers with home medical equipment and durable medical equipment (HME/DME) suppliers, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with The MED Group.

As the preeminent group purchasing organization (GPO) for the HME/DME industry, The MED Group, a Managed Health Care Associates, Inc. (MHA) company, provides Stratice with an exclusive GPO agreement with access to a network of over 2,000 suppliers throughout the United States. This strategic partnership will help pave the way for electronic DME referrals and orders, similar to e-prescribing in the pharmacy market.

MED members will have immediate access to the eDMEplus platform. This electronic HME/DME prescription software is integrated within electronic health records (EHRs), which enable members to replace an otherwise inefficient, time-consuming ordering process that predominantly relies on phone calls, facsimiles and convoluted paper trails. In addition, it is well documented e-prescribing saves valuable time for physician and medical staff, improves continuity of care for patients and suppliers alike, while providing electronic documentation and compliance for payers.

“Stratice is more than pleased to have this agreement in place with The MED Group, as this strategic partnership extends our nationwide reach and provides the medical community an engaged and supportive network of HME/DME suppliers throughout the country,” said John Brady, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Stratice Healthcare. “Through our collaboration with The MED Group, we are well positioned to scale our electronic prescribing platform to all major markets supported by the group’s extensive member database.”

Jeff Woodham, Senior Vice President and General Manger, The MED Group, added, “The relationship we’ve developed with the Stratice team demonstrates MED’s continued efforts to introduce innovative technology solutions that provide significant value to our members. We applaud the Stratice team’s vision towards achieving interoperability for our industry, as these efforts align with our strategy to bring quality technology solutions to our members. The platform will allow our members to efficiently capture orders, access documentation within the patient medical record and offers new revenue sources.”
