T2 Boosts its Healthcare IT Proficiency with Hire of Marty Miller

In a move that will take its IT consulting business to the next level, T2 Technology Group has appointed veteran healthcare technology executive Marty Miller to the position of partner.

Miller brings more than 15 years of experience to T2, serving in technology leadership positions at numerous medical organizations. At the company, Miller will be responsible for delivering IT strategy, oversight and architecture direction to top clients. He also will provide technical leadership to T2 staff and spearhead innovative technology solutions for customers.

“Marty’s distinguished healthcare experience and technical understanding represent critical assets that will enable T2’s continued expansion,” said Kevin Torf, managing partner at T2. “His insights are especially important in light of T2’s recent success securing high-profile engagements with Sharp HealthCare, Stanford Health Care and Verity Health System. Having worked with Marty for many years, I know he will be a valuable addition to our executive management team. His expertise will greatly help our clients overcome their most critical challenges and allow them to do things more effectively.”

Prior to joining T2, Miller was the vice president of technology innovations at Advanced ICU Care, where he developed and implemented a modernized IT strategy to support the organization’s cutting-edge ICU patient care delivery model. His efforts afforded Advanced ICU Care with a scalable technology platform and enabled the migration from traditional data centers to a hybrid cloud model in less than 12 months.

Previously, Miller served as the CTO and CIO at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Under his leadership, CHLA in 2014 appeared on Hospitals & Health Networks magazine’s prestigious “Most Wired” list for the first time ever.

During his tenure at CHLA, Miller spearheaded the implementation of new IT systems and applications to deliver on the hospital’s key priorities and keep pace with healthcare reform. Key projects included the design and implementation of the new 460,000-square-foot Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion hospital building. Miller also managed the implementation of a $28.5 million ambulatory electronic health record (EHR), the facilitating of meaningful use stage 2 compliance and the building of the hospital’s first mobile physician portal utilizing HIPAA compliant cloud technologies.
