Tietoevry Care partners with Finnish providers to advance DynamicHealth

Tietoevry Care has signed a partnership agreement with Finland’s leading private healthcare providers — Aava and Pikkujätti, Mehiläinen, Pihlajalinna, and Terveystalo — to jointly enhance the DynamicHealth patient information system, making it more customer-centric. The agreement spans three years, with an option to extend for another three.

Currently used by around 60 Tietoevry Care customers, DynamicHealth provides comprehensive digital tools designed for private healthcare providers in Finland. Over 50,000 professionals across approximately 1,000 units of Aava and Pikkujätti, Mehiläinen, Pihlajalinna, and Terveystalo rely on the system for key healthcare operations, including online booking, patient data management, reporting, and accounting. Under the new agreement, DynamicHealth will be upgraded to become more efficient, intuitive, and digitally advanced—supporting high-quality care and seamless patient experiences.

“Aava and Pikkujätti, Mehiläinen, Pihlajalinna, and Terveystalo are long-standing and valued partners of Tietoevry Care. We’re delighted to strengthen our collaboration through this new agreement,” said Ari Järvelä, Managing Director, Tietoevry Care. “Our goal is to build a next-generation system that delivers high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services. With DynamicHealth, professionals can focus on what matters most—patient care, better decisions, and meaningful outcomes.”

Wille Komulainen, Chief Physician and Director of eHealth at Aava and Pikkujätti, emphasized that the development efforts are focused on creating tools that make healthcare professionals’ daily work easier.

“The main goal of the renewed platform is to enhance the user experience for healthcare professionals. In recent years, new regulations and system advancements have introduced additional requirements, making user-friendly and efficient tools more important than ever. Our objective is to boost efficiency, support clinical decision-making, and enable continuous care pathways,” Komulainen explained.

Marko Honkanen, CIO/CDO at Aava and Pikkujätti, highlighted the importance of teamwork in achieving effective system development.

“Collaboration with Tietoevry Care and other private healthcare providers allows us to develop the system with both professionals’ and patients’ needs in mind. Through this joint initiative, we’re building a modern, purpose-driven platform that enhances data flow, open interfaces, and data-based management—helping us deliver even higher-quality care,” said Honkanen.

According to Mehiläinen’s CIO, Janne Jakola, the close cooperation ensures that DynamicHealth will remain sustainable and adaptable for years to come.

“This collaboration secures a long lifecycle for DynamicHealth and allows for more agile development in the future. Our aim is a technically advanced, flexible platform that integrates seamlessly with our other systems and best supports our professionals’ work,” Jakola noted.

Pihlajalinna’s CIO, Lauri Muhonen, shared a similar view, calling the partnership with Tietoevry Care a significant step forward.

“This agreement is an important milestone in the modernization of DynamicHealth. It enhances user experience for healthcare professionals and will allow smoother integration with Pihlajalinna’s systems in the future—improving overall service quality for our customers. The new collaboration model, where we co-develop the system with other Tietoevry Care customers, also ensures cost efficiency and shared progress in the right direction,” said Muhonen.

Sanna Huttunen, Director of Digital Development at Terveystalo, expressed optimism about the joint initiative.

“We’re excited to contribute to the joint development of DynamicHealth. At Terveystalo, we’ve already made strong advances in digitalization—Terveystalo Ella being a great example of how digital solutions can improve healthcare professionals’ day-to-day experience. Enhancing DynamicHealth supports this journey, helping us build a strong system foundation while ensuring the long-term continuity of our core operations,” Huttunen added.
