Tricare recipients can now ask for prescription refills from military pharmacies by accessing their MHS Genesis electronic health record.
The updated refill choice is applicable solely for prescriptions initially dispensed by a military pharmacy. Prescriptions initially provided by Express Scripts home delivery or a retail network pharmacy must be refilled accordingly.
According to a press release from the Defense Health Agency dated March 15, individuals seeking to renew a refill in MHS Genesis should select the “Rx Refills” tab on their MHS Genesis Patient Portal homepage. The portal enables users to view all their refillable prescriptions, make selections regarding which prescriptions to renew and from where, and to check when they’ll be ready for pickup.
