Veradigm expands its Payer Insights solution by adding Sentara Health Plans

Leading Mid-Atlantic and Southeast US health plan to launch integrated care gap alerts in early 2026.

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Veradigm® (OTCMKTS: MDRX), a leading healthcare data and technology provider, announced a new partnership with Sentara Health Plans, a major regional health plan serving over one million members. Sentara will implement Veradigm’s Payer Insights solution to deliver patient-specific care gap alerts directly within the EHR systems used by its provider network.

Veradigm Payer Insights integrates seamlessly into existing EHR workflows, enabling payers to help providers close care gaps, improve patient outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance satisfaction for both patients and providers. The solution has already been widely adopted across the U.S., with nearly 17,000 practices onboarded and over 600,000 patient alerts delivered.

KLAS Research recently recognized Veradigm with a 2025 Points of Light Award for the successful integration of Payer Insights at Metroplex Medical Centers in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

“Veradigm leverages its deep physician practice expertise to help health plans and providers close critical care gaps,” said Donald Trigg, CEO of Veradigm. “With Sentara, patients receive necessary care, providers remain in their EHR workflow, and unnecessary costs are avoided.”

Sentara, one of the largest integrated health systems in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, employs 34,000 staff across 12 hospitals in Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina, including 10 Magnet®️-recognized facilities.

“Sentara is committed to equipping our providers with tools that enhance outcomes while lowering costs,” said Tim Skeen, EVP and CIO of Sentara Health. “We look forward to implementing Veradigm Payer Insights to better support our network and the communities we serve.”
