Veradigm Introduces Upgraded Ambient Scribe Features

Veradgim healthverity

Veradigm has expanded its AI-enhanced Ambient Scribe solution for its EHR customers, adding new capabilities designed to strengthen clinical documentation, support decision-making, and elevate patient care.

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Veradigm® (OTCMKTS: MDRX), a leading healthcare data and technology provider, announced new upgrades to its AI-powered Ambient Scribe solution for Veradigm EHR users. These enhancements underscore the company’s ongoing commitment to advancing AI tools that strengthen clinical documentation, improve decision support, and elevate patient care.

The Ambient Scribe tool, introduced last year, uses AI to passively capture patient–provider conversations and automatically produce structured clinical notes within the EHR. The latest updates further advance the platform with new features such as multilingual support, structured diagnosis code recommendations, and improved clinical insight tools — underscoring Veradigm’s focus on advancing intelligent, efficient documentation for clinicians.

  • Structured Diagnosis Code Recommendations: Automatically detects and suggests applicable ICD-10 codes for providers to include as structured diagnoses in the Assessment & Plan, enhancing accuracy.
  • Multilingual Documentation Support: Captures conversations in languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic, and produces structured English documentation to better support diverse patient populations.
  • Clinical Decision Insights Support: Instantly presents symptoms and care plan suggestions based on practice-selected protocols and provider preferences through an AI-driven insight engine.

After using Veradigm Ambient Scribe for six months, Andrew Norris, MD, of Horizon Family Medicine, said the tool has noticeably improved both the quality and efficiency of his clinical documentation.

To support broader adoption, Veradigm is rolling out enhanced Ambient Scribe features to Veradigm EHR customers in phases starting November 18, with full availability expected within two weeks. This phased deployment ensures users receive the newest AI capabilities without extra system upgrades or lengthy setup processes. The improvements are designed to boost efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance overall usability.

“Veradigm Ambient Scribe goes beyond documentation—it serves as a true clinical intelligence platform,” said Tehsin Syed, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Veradigm. “By integrating features like structured diagnosis code suggestions, multilingual capabilities, and clinical decision insights directly into the workflow, we’re enabling providers to deliver more effective and personalized care.”

These advancements reflect Veradigm’s ongoing commitment to equipping clinicians with smart, supportive tools that reduce administrative tasks, enhance documentation accuracy, and improve patient outcomes.
