WHAT: Dr. Robert Anderson will discuss new technology that improves patient care: weight-bearing computed tomography (CT). The CARESTREAM OnSight 3D Extremity System captures 3D cross-sectional images of bone or soft tissue in upper and lower extremities. Features include weight-bearing exams that allow viewing of lower extremities under natural load; upper and lower extremity exams, with high-resolution 3D images to reveal subtle, difficult-to-detect fractures; greater patient comfort and convenience, with a wide door opening for easy, step-in access; and a reduced radiation dose compared to conventional CT systems.
