Ease of use drives selection of Wellsoft EHR software to support emergency department patients throughout northeastern Georgia
Somerset, NJ – April 21, 2016 – Wellsoft Corporation, an industry-leading Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) provider, announced today an agreement with Stephens County Hospital to deploy Wellsoft EDIS in the hospital’s Emergency Department to further enhance its operational efficiencies and provide high quality care for their patients.
A 96-bed community hospital located in Toccoa, Georgia, Stephens County Hospital cares for approximately 19,700 emergency department patients annually. With Wellsoft EDIS, the hospital will replace its mostly manual Emergency Department processes and integrate with its current CPSI hospital information system.

Implementation planning is underway for a complete suite of features including patient tracking, clinical documentation, CPOE, results reporting, and charge capture. Through the utilization of Wellsoft EDIS, Stephens County Hospital expects to improve workflow and throughput of patients through streamlined physician and nursing documentation; improve communication and reduce errors with real-time chart availability; and ensure appropriate billing through charge capture.
