Why the world of technology is under the spotlight during coronavirus

Why the world of technology is under the spotlight during coronavirus

The world of technology is under the spotlight now that COVID-19 has reached and peaked in almost every single country in the whole world. What has been stated in multiple reports is the fact that technology within the medical sector is only set up to grow in the next couple of months, given how companies and startups have been in demand in order to update a bulky and overall not so receptive sector: medihealth or healthcare. Let’s analyse what pieces of technology will lead the market post COVID.

Data Science

When it comes to analysing patients and their diseases with a thorough and precise approach, data science has always been considered. The usage of Python to create and analyse multiple databases and other important pieces within a backend architecture could instantly provide hospitals with experimental treatments which are only being done in a remote part of the world, by simply accessing an online portal. Many app developers have also approached this given the recent usage of iPads in hospitals, which has been state in a recent Bloomberg report to grow even further.

Web Technologies: Faster And Easier To Use

The world of tech has been dominated by the usage of web technologies to build software architectures. Why? Because, being cloud stored (in a server) they are fast, reliable and they don’t need a powerful PC to work. In the future, we could potentially be able to walk through our entire clinical history without any software, but by just simply opening a website or a native application. Web technologies currently amount for over 60% of the world of software development, therefore, this just had to be used within the health sector.

Artificial Intelligence: Power, Automated

When it comes to the health sector, especially in regards to surgeries, automation and precision are two key components of the same very world. Machine learning and AI for neurosurgeries have recently opened the eyes of the world towards many startups who combine Python and other programming languages: specifically, robots which automatically (yes, you’ve heard that right) proceed in operating a patient without requiring any form of external input. This is extremely important for the future development of this sector, which has been stated at $2 billion in value in the UK alone. Machine learning and AI, though, are two separate subjects which works (in this case) to learn and automate the task they are specifically required to do.

To Conclude

With this pandemic, we’ve been set into a timeframe in which technology is just waiting for the future to happen. Let me phrase it better: there will be dozens of new pieces of tech surfacing soon, with as many investors looking into these matters. With this being said, it’s definitely going to be a whole exciting year for tech.
