NaphCare is pleased to announce that TechCare™, has earned 2014 Complete EHR Stage 2 certification under the Drummond Group’s National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program.

TechCare™ is a custom-built, corrections-specific, Electronic Health Record solution that automates, standardizes, and institutes proactive and preventive inmate healthcare in correctional institutions across the county. The rigorous review process for the 2014 Complete EHR Stage 2 EHR Certification includes a comprehensive audit of product design, functionality, usability, and efficiency. By achieving certification, the TechCare™ v4.5 EHR system assures sound design and reliable interoperability in a secure environment while providing the ability to qualify for federal incentive payments.

By attaining certification as a Complete EHR, TechCare™ v4.5 shows the commitment NaphCare has to provide an exemplary, complete product that already includes necessary capabilities, functionalities, interoperability and security without reliance on 3rd party modules. In addition to certifying as Complete, TechCare™ fulfilled testing within Adult and Pediatric Quality Measures to ensure compliance for both Adult and Juvenile correctional facilities using TechCare™. In addition to complying with ONC-ACB certification program TechCare™ v4.5 continues to meet ACA, NCCHC, and JCAHO standards.

“We are very pleased to achieve this certification for the TechCareTM EHR system. TechCareTM is a corrections-specific EHR that allows professionals to carry forward our exclusive Proactive Care Model while helping efficiently manage patient workflow and manage costs,” said James S. McLane, CEO of NaphCare. “Our Quality System automates, standardizes, and enforces proactive and preventative inmate healthcare, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care and spend less time on documentation. I believe this certification validates the ability of our system to support these very capabilities. All clinicians using or considering TechCareTM can be confident that this system will support their patient care and practice management needs.”
