is an analytics solution that provides near real-time insights directly in the EHR to assist clinicians in making better prescribing decisions for controlled substances. The program provides three key components for prescribers and dispensers: a patient score, an interactive graph detailing the prescribing patterns and detailed information about each prescription. An algorithm assesses and computes the history from a prescriptions-dispensed database, including statewide prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMP), to highlight potential abuse of narcotics, sedatives and stimulants.
Embedding NARxCHECK within the Cerner EHR gives prescribers near real-time access to PDMP data and provides transparency to states to monitor compliance. Cerner is the only EHR supplier to package this process with one simple deployment.
