Chesapeake Regional Medical Center Plans EHR Migration

chesapeake

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center will migrate to the Epic Electronic Medical Record system over the next two years and has engaged Good Help Connections, a Bon Secours Health System subsidiary, to provide support for the implementation.

The transition to Epic will better align CRMC with the local health care marketplace and improve clinician interaction and patient engagement. “Moving to the Epic platform is a momentous step for our organization and will heighten our ability to communicate with other health systems for the benefit of the patient,” said Ken Deans, vice president and chief information officer for CRMC. “From enhanced evidence-based decision making that supports expanded disease management to direct patient and provider engagement via secure portals and mobile apps, a migration to the Epic platform will support our organization’s history of continued growth and advancement in the area of innovation.

We are very pleased and excited to bring its world class strengths and capabilities to our patients and providers in Chesapeake.” Bon Secours’ Good Help Connections was established earlier this year as a subsidiary corporation of Bon Secours for the purpose of assisting health systems in better serving their communities
