Datawatch Makes Healthcare Tech Outlook Industry List

icd

Healthcare Tech Outlook magazine is known for its editorial board that contains CEOs, CIOs, VCs, and industry analysts that can all be called leaders in the fields of healthcare and technology. Every year, that editorial group produces its choices for the “20 Most Promising Healthcare Analytics Solutions Providers,” and this year it selected Datawatch Corporation as one of those many.

Datawatch recently announced that it had been selected for the honor which, in its case, takes into account the Datawatch Managed Analytics Platform that gives enterprise information officers the ability to handle entire data lifecycles with fewer errors. The platform is able to handle any type of data and create visualizations of lifecycles to give company officials insight about how to use the data now and in the future.

Alex D’souza, the managing editor of Healthcare Tech Outlook, provided a quote that sums up Datawatch’s contribution to the market and its commitment to the clients it serves.

“Datawatch Corporation has continued to provide innovative solutions in Healthcare Analytics arena for quite some time thereby reinventing the current landscape. We are happy to showcase them this year due to their excellence in delivering best-of-breed technology-driven solutions,” D’souza said. “Datawatch Corporation solutions continued to break new ground within the past year, benefiting its customers around the globe, and we’re excited to have them featured on our top companies list.”

Dan Potter, the chief marketing officer at Datawatch, commented further that his company’s analytics platform is tailored to the needs of CIOs at healthcare organizations. It uses what the company refers to as an “all-inclusive approach to visual analytics” which means that software users can prepare data in any way they see fit while also seeing visual representations of data in real time. The way in which it addresses the healthcare market has to do with the manner in which Managed Analytics Platform presents that data and how it masks patient information such as Social Security numbers and medical history.

It separates data into meaningful chunks so hospital officials can see relevant information that shapes their businesses but which continues to protect the privacy of patients. This separation of data has become essential to the everyday operations of businesses because laws such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Electronic Protected Health Information regulation within HIPAA are constantly applicable to all types of data usage and transfer within medical centers. Datawatch appears keen to address this situation, and it is that attention to detail which makes its product relevant in the market and its business an obvious contender for industry lists such as this most recent example.
